D&AD is a British organisation that looks after the interests of the country’s creative industries. Each year they hold an exhibition called New Blood which showcases the work of the best students graduating that year. The image is by Matt Ellwood and shows a poster which demonstrates the growing problem of light pollution. Here’s a link to this year’s batch. Also, here’s the site of this year’s graduating students from Camberwell College in London.

Chelsea’s Graphic Design Communication degree show had a great selection work. Show site here, a blog listing all the students final major projects (fmp) and a blog documenting how the show was put together. One of the students, Mitesh Mistry, designed a Gujarati typeface for his final project.

I went to some of the degree shows in London over the weekend. Central St Martins Graphics was probably the best of the bunch… a general review here, the show’s site here and one of the strongest graduate’s site. Also look at the work of UCA’s Graphics course, Camberwell’s Illustration course and Southampton Solent’s (where i used to teach) Illustration work.
